ANCIENT WATERS PHOTOGRAPHY
By Giannina Eloisa Reynolds
Join me as I dance between the waves and explore ancient waters, the marine life, ancient and modern ruins and the mystery that lies beneath.
About
IF you were asked to give up a few parts of your body in exchange for an abundance of talents, skills and abilities
- would you do it?
IF you knew that you would be made fun of, struggle with pain, be used and rejected
- could you handle it?
OR perhaps You were perfectly created as is WITH a Purpose designed to handle. it.
My name is Giannina Eloisa Reynolds, I am a Polymath.
I am missing 22 bones in my legs. I was born with 3 toes on each foot, THEY said I would never walk and yet I do.
Often referred to as a walking miracle from medical experts from around the world, to this day no one comprehends how I can walk given my unique design.
I have been taking photos since 1986, I was 9 years old when my
parents bought me my first camera. I then continued to study it in high school and university where my focus was on black and white photography.
In 2018 my health drastically changed forcing me to spend more time in the sea. I had just learned marine photography in 2017, a hobby that I loved would finally turn into something more...
This is the first time I am publishing my photos.
The Logo
In 2012 a former neighbor of mine sketched a unique drawing using all the letters in my name. While looking for a logo to watermark my images I came across his post-it drawing, digitized it and after looking at it from 4 different angles I settled on the side that made the G more obvious. I finished it off by adding 3 dots on each side, representing the toes I was born with.
T R A N S P A R E N C Y
I was trained in the days before digital cameras. I am old school when it comes to technique, my teachers always said "you either got the shot or you don't". With that being said I have not edited or modified any of my images. They are the raw footage. Due to my health I can't spend too much time in front of the pc - yet alone to fix or edit photos. I want you to see what I see, exactly as I see it.
This is a labor of
Take a deep breath and enjoy the journey within.
Love.
